Schism

This is a collection of stories by Lincoln Cole written throughout his life. Some of it was written while he was still developing his style, and some of the stories are attempts at different genres and branching out to try something new. It is a compilation of many works submitted to magazines or services throughout the years.

The first story is a visionary world with steampunk themes, corporations battling under cover of darkness to try and run the streets. Later in the collection there is a dystopian future where the remaining few have to choose who lives and who dies as the Earth becomes unable to support life. Another work satirizes modern technology and how easy it is to get control of hacking technology.

Throughout the collection some of the works are from Lincoln Cole beginning his journey as a writer putting words to paper.

A war is beginning between the natives of Comer and the newcomers who dominated them, and it is a far larger conflict than anyone would have known. But, the reason for this war isn’t quite what it seems: the natives aren’t trying to get their land back, they are trying to escape from a much more dangerous enemy that symbolizes the greatest change these lands have ever seen.

Now Gregory is forced to try to find an end to this conflict before these two armies tear each other apart and are too weak to face the real threat on the horizon. He quickly realizes he’s in over his head.

Meanwhile, an ancient order of knights that has all but been decimated in recent years is trying to prepare their ranks for the greatest conflict they have ever faced. The fate of the entire world rests in their hands, yet their numbers have dwindled to double digits. Can they find the strength to face this evil and save the world?
