When passion and purpose collide, extraordinary things transpire! ♥
September was such an amazing month and certainly put an extra spring in my step. It first started with the fantastic news that I was selected as “Spotlight” Author for the month with Rave Reviews Book Club. It was such an honour for which I’m most grateful and deeply humbled. My two poetry collections, THE HEART’S JOURNEY HOME and THE HEART’S LULLABY, received a huge boost in sales and garnered lovely reviews. I’m still smiling. ♥
Many of you know that my sister, Nicole, means the world to me. She is my best friend and has been by my side through life’s mystifying journey. I just recently returned home from a ten day visit with her. For ten full days we enjoyed music, laughter, scenic tours, delicious food, celebratory milestones, and heartfelt reminiscing with shared joy and gratitude for the journey that lies ahead.
On September 22nd, we travelled to Moncton, New Brunswick to join various high spirited and enthusiastic entrepreneurs for our first joint Exhibition and Gift Show. It was a moment of celebration we’ll never forget. We met so many lovely people and received such a warm response for our business venture PEACE BY PIECE PUZZLES. In addition to our puzzles, I sold numerous copies of both poetry collections … and reached another milestone! Yup, my first book signing for face-to-face customers! I have yet to find adequate words to describe it. Perhaps they don’t exist. I was in pure bliss!
While the Gift Show was underway, Nicole and I were in such delight when we received Facebook notifications via our Peace by Piece Puzzles page. True story! Customers were tagging us with their lovely comments and personal endorsements! Seriously … we couldn’t stop smiling (aka sister giggles). These were/are prized moments for us!
And this was just day two of my visit. The night before we saw Chris De Burgh perform to enormous applause. In addition to his incredible talent, he is a charismatic, funny gentleman. When he sang Lady in Red, he came off stage and danced with anyone wearing red. And he didn’t miss a note. Not one! I mean seriously … who does that? Chris De Burgh, that’s who!
Goodbyes are never easy for us, but this time it wasn’t so bad as I’ll be travelling back to visit again on November 1st. We are all set to be a vendor at one of the largest Christmas Gift shows in Nova Scotia – Christmas at the Forum. High fives all around!!
When passion and purpose collide … the reason why I can’t stop smiling. I’m so grateful for every moment, every second of these magnificent life joys. And how beautifully perfect to experience it all with my sister, my best friend!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and sharing the love.
Hugs and much love to all. ♥
PS. If you’re in Halifax, Nova Scotia during November 3rd – 5th, and you happen upon Christmas at the Forum, please do stop by. We’ll be the smiling sisters with our puzzles of inspiration and love … and treats, of course. 😉 Just look for and follow the beautiful butterfly!
