Footprints ~ a soul’s legacy 💕 by @NatalieDucey #Poetry #writephoto

Greetings, everyone! ♥

Every Thursday at noon GMT, Sue Vincent publishes one of her photos as a writing prompt. Throughout the week she features as many of the responses on her blog Daily Echo as possible. Every week, a full round-up of posts are published linking back to the original posts of contributors.

We use the image as inspiration to create a post on our own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose and link back to her post with a pingback. There is no word limit and no style requirements, except to keep it fairly family friendly.

Today’s photo prompt is Footprints #writephoto. The photo is lone footprints on a sandy beach.

This is my piece… I hope you enjoy!

Footprints

I’m surrounded by uncertainty
Every step is one of faith
For all that lies before me
I welcome and embrace.

My footprints tell my story
The legacy of my soul
The moments I stood weary
My stumbles and many falls.

There are miles I walked alone
But never ventured in vain
Many miles you carried me
Those lone footprints hold your name.

The journey of our hearts
Is seldom told in words
It’s in our acts of kindness
That we leave a legacy of love.

Be it one we’re proud to claim
And time will not erase
For our soul’s legacy
Will be an infinite gift of grace.

  1. Oh my goodness, Natalie, I am blown away. The Angels are at work! I just finished writing a blog post to go up next week about making our own Footprints in life. Wow! I’m speechless. The message is a strong one. Thank you!!
