Just recently I discovered that we can add a weblink to our Instagram Stories! This was an exciting discovery because, previously, it was only an option for some users. Now everyone can add a live weblink to further share/promote the content of our Story. Yay!
For example, I created an Instagram Story to promote my Library of Free Resources AND I was able to include the weblink for viewers to readily and easily access it! Awesome, right?!

How to Add a Weblink to Instagram Stories
In just a few easy steps, we’ll add a weblink to an Instagram Story!
First, to create an Instagram Story tap the + icon located at the top right or on your profile picture.
Tap the + Story icon located in the list of options.
Tap the Smiley icon located in the top options to view all stickers.
Tap the Link icon located in the list of options.
Here we add our weblink. We can preview how it will look. We can even create Customize Sticker Text!
I added Customize Sticker Text. “Access Free Resource Library Here!” This way people can visually see what we are offering. Preview and then tap Done.
The link with Customize Sticker Text will appear at the bottom. Tap to change colour. I selected black.
Finalize your Story and then Upload. You’re done. Easy peasy!
I uploaded my Story. This is how it looks. I added a hashtag #BloggersofInstagram and a few sparkles.

And we’re done!
There are so many awesome ways to use Instagram Stories. Adding web links is just another valuable feature to enhance social media engagement.
