How to Create a Wallpaper Calendar for a Desktop and/or Laptop using Canva.

Canva Tips· Design Graphics· Design Tips

In today’s design tip, we’ll create a Desktop and/or Laptop Wallpaper Calendar using Canva.

Wallpaper often referred to as desktop background, desktop wallpaper, or background image is a digital image (photo, graphic, etc.) used as a decorative background.

We can easily create a custom wallpaper calendar for our desktop and/or a laptop in just a few quick steps.

In this tutorial, we’ll:

  • Create a Wallpaper Calendar using Canva
  • Change the Background in Windows 10 using the custom designed Wallpaper Calendar

I love using a wallpaper calendar as it helps me stay organized. I’m often referring to a calendar while using my laptop. Having one that is quick to reference serves its function, and creating one serves my passion for design. It’s a win-win!

The image below is a screenshot of my laptop. I created this wallpaper calendar in Canva, added it to my laptop via background settings, then repositioned my shortcut icons. It keeps my workspace tidy for quick reference.

I’ve included my short How-To Video below if you’d like to follow along that way. ♥

We’ll create our Calendar Wallpaper in Canva. If you’re using Canva already, you’re good to go. If you’re new to Canva, you can easily create an account for free here or click on the link below.

Yes, let’s Create my Free Canva Account today!

Okay, let’s get started. ♥

Once you’re logged in to Canva type “Desktop Calendar” in the Search option.

Or simply view templates here!

Search Desktop Calendar in Canva

You’ll see hundreds of templates.

You can easily use the Filters: Category, Style, Theme, and Colour (Color) to narrow your search. They are located on the left-side panel.

Select your Template to use.

This will open your design in the editor, as displayed below.

Select text and elements to change font, size, and colour. Add photos and other assets as you’d like. If you’re not quite sure how to do so, this is covered in the video. ♥

When you’re finished creating your design, save and download.

We’re almost done.

Let’s add your Wallpaper Calendar to your desktop and/or laptop background.

How to Change the Wallpaper Background Image in Windows 10

The process is super easy in Windows 10.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Personalization
  3. Background
  4. Under Background options select Picture
  5. Then browse/choose your picture.

Viola!

Canva is a fantastic creativity tool that makes design fun and it’s free! With its easy-to-use templates, we can easily design graphics for social media, marketing material, and so much more. Like desktop and laptop wallpaper!

TIP: With Canva’s Group feature, we can easily group elements to copy and/or duplicate. This is an awesome feature because some designs can contain so many elements that moving them individually can be a tedious, time-consuming task. Using the Group feature makes it super easy.

If you’re not quite sure how to group elements, feel free to pop by my recent blog post ~ How to Group and Copy Multiple Elements in Canva.

Until next time … happy creating and blogging, my friends! ♥

Thanks for stopping by today. No, the month doesn’t change automatically. I create a new calender every month and then follow the process of uploading to my computer. Hope this helps!

As a multi-passionate creator my heart is rooted in storytelling, self-expression, and soulful connection. I’m a writer of poetry that journeys the deep emotional landscapes of life—the vulnerability and valour of the soul.
My creativity extends beyond the page. I love creating soothing, sweet melodic melodies. Where the silence between the notes soothes the soul, and the tenor and tone seem to transcend time. I find comfort and joy in the art of crochet, and the free artistic expression of graphic design—each medium offering a unique way to inspire, uplift, and connect with others on their own creative journeys.
Nature is my sanctuary. In its tranquil beauty and quiet wisdom, I find restoration, reflection, and a deeper connection to the soul. It’s where I return to breathe, to listen, and to simply be.
This space is a celebration of creativity in all its forms. Creativity, for me, is more than expression—it is transformation. It is how we return to ourselves. Whether you’ve arrived here for a spark of inspiration, a moment of peace, or a sense of belonging—I welcome you!
