Life can change in an instant. Chances are, if you’re 20 years or older, you know this truth. Life, in its majestic wonder, can sometimes be unkind with its paths of uncertainty and forced goodbyes. In the blink of an eye, all that was once familiar, secure, and steady is now out of reach. No misdeeds necessary. No signature required. The current suddenly shifts, setting us adrift in uncharted waters with no map or plan of rescue.
In 1992, I sustained a spinal cord injury as the result of a car accident. Life changed in an instant. But my journey has been a remarkable one… a journey of self-discovery and grace.
There is so much beauty in the wonderment of beginnings!
The luxury of time. ♥
When I decided to step away from my profession as a Counsellor in 2014, I began to discover other ventures my heart was compelled to explore.
With the luxury of time that wasn’t tethered to any predetermined outcome, I knew my heart was granted a sacred gift. Time. Time to learn, time to grow, time to begin again. This is a sacred gift. ♥
I began to write. Words formed from an internal source that I can only describe as a place divine. They flowed through me. When we allow ourselves to be still, we become open to all possibilities. The universe inspires. Listen.
I found the freedom of words. As a writer of poetry, I journey the deep emotional landscapes of life—love, loss, healing, and hope—capturing the quiet strength and beauty that lives in each moment of transformation. The vulnerability and valour of the soul. My work is an invitation to feel deeply, to rise slowly, and to rediscover the light within. Each poem is a soft reminder that even in our most fragile moments, there is beauty, resilience, and renewal waiting to unfold.
The exquisite surprise was that I shared my writings and published my poetry. I joined fellow authors and started blogging to connect with writers the world over. I stifled my hesitation and enjoyed the grand adventure. I removed my published books last year for personal reasons, but I will be publishing a compilation of poems soon.
Creativity inspires Creativity!
Music
With words and a melody in my heart that sought to exist outside of me, I first learned to play guitar, then piano, and later the harmonica. My learning wasn’t sophisticated, nor did it produce complicated pieces of work. I love creating soothing, sweet melodic melodies. Where the silence between the notes soothes the soul, and the tenor and tone seem to transcend time. There’s so much beauty in simplicity. Just begin. ♥
Graphic Design
I love the free artistic expression of graphic design. My passion for graphic design was a sweet surprise and a welcomed gift. I was fascinated and began to explore, learn, experiment, and later produce templates and mockups that I sell in digital form via my Etsy Shop and Design Bundles.
I learned the basics of video production to display and demonstrate the use of my designs. This led to my YouTube channel where I share tips, techniques, and encouragement to create and explore the graphic design and marketing process. When I learn something new, I’m thrilled to share it forward.
Purpose with Poetry
During this time my twin sister and I launched our vision Peace by Piece Puzzles. When we learned that the simple act of piecing together a jigsaw puzzle can offer therapeutic benefits we were inspired to act. Along with a beautiful, tranquil image, every Peace by Piece Puzzle carries an inspirational poem, a message of hope and love. Through my words, I aspire to offer solace and hope, love and understanding. To explore this venture with my sister is a blessing. ♥
Craft of Crochet
It started with a desire to crochet scarves and headbands to be able to donate a physical item of warmth, love, and care. I now know that this is just the beginning of something beautiful. It’s a true merging of passions with purpose.

If something sparks an interest in you… Explore it. Embrace it. Relish the gift of curiosity and treat yourself to the wonder of it. Don’t overcomplicate the process of learning; it can be self-defeating.

I was born and raised in beautiful Newfoundland, Canada, with my two brothers and twin sister. I now reside in Ontario, Canada, with my husband of 21 years.
I love swimming and the freedom and serenity of being one with water. I am an avid reader, passionate creator, and seeker of tranquillity along life’s mystifying journey.
