A Hundred Ways to Hold Her: Honouring the Healing Journey Through Poetry

A Hundred Ways To Hold Her· Poetry· Uncategorized

3 Mar

There are seasons when life asks us to slow, to listen more closely, and to return to the parts of ourselves that have been quietly waiting for care. Over the past while, my own creative space has been reshaping itself in that way, leaning more fully into writing poetry that honours both tenderness and truth.

Today, I want to introduce you to a book that has been growing alongside my own journey of healing and renewal.

A Hundred Ways to Hold Her is a poetic collection of emotional self-holding, written for the woman learning to stay with herself through heartbreak, healing, and renewal.

Across one hundred intimate verses, the collection traces the tender journey of unraveling and return. Each poem meets her in the moments when strength feels thin and hope feels fragile, offering quiet companionship through life’s hardest seasons. It honours both the woman who endured and the woman slowly emerging in her place.

Interwoven throughout the collection are benediction verses written in the voice of her future self. These offerings do not instruct or rush the reader forward. They arrive as gentle witnesses, recognizing courage in real time, honouring what has been carried, and reminding her of the wholeness already taking root beneath the surface.

Together, these two voices form a single devotion, one that steadies, softens, and restores.

This work is a quiet companion for anyone rebuilding herself from the inside out. A refuge and a remembrance. A space where survival is honoured, tenderness is reclaimed, and the long road back to self is treated as sacred ground.

This is not a book about physical embrace.
It is about the quiet ways we learn to carry ourselves with more gentleness.
To make room for breath again.
And to return, slowly and faithfully, to the home within.

As this collection continues to unfold, I’ll be sharing verses, reflections, and moments from the journey here on my blog and on Instagram. This space is becoming a place for words that hold, soften, and honour the real work of becoming.
